RICHARD THIBAULT

Richard Thibault is Boulder Technology's Service Layer Architect, with responsibility for technical design and implementation of the business objects, services, and frameworks that drive Boulder Technology systems.

Rich has twenty years of experience in the software industry, and was an early adopter of ColdFusion technology, creating some of the earliest ColdFusion-driven websites in 1996 and 1997, including one of the first consumer banking systems available on the World Wide Web.  Rich also has extensive experience with languages such as Java and PHP, client-side technologies such as Flex and Javascript, mobile technologies such as iPhone and Android, and relational database systems including MySQL, Oracle, Sybase, and Microsoft SQL Server.  In addition, Rich is a capable Unix system administrator who manages the many Linux/Apache webservers employed by Boulder Technology.

Prior to joining Boulder Technology, Rich was Director of Technology for FIRE Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of web-based learning and compliance systems for the financial services industry, overseeing the development of large-scale web-based products such as PowerComply, a gift-tracking and compliance tool used by several Fortune 500 companies, and ACMNow, a Flash-based multimedia content delivery system for annual compliance meetings.

From 2000 to 2006, Rich was a Senior Software Developer for TravelCLICK, Inc., a leading provider of reservations processing, data analysis, and digital marketing services to the worldwide hotel industry.  While there, Rich designed and built mission-critical enterprise systems, including an Intranet-based invoicing system that saved the company millions of dollars in administrative expense each year, as well as a ColdFusion-based front-end to the company's reservation processing system.  Rich joined TravelCLICK as a result of its acquisition of Bidtripper.com, where he helped build the company's online auction and retailing systems.

Prior to Bidtripper.com, Rich spent several years as a freelance web developer, building database-driven websites for such varied American and European clients as photographers, industry conference planners, retail ticket vendors, shipping firms, and art vendors.  Before that, Rich was Manager of Web Development Services for Phoenix International, creator of an international client/server banking system.  At Phoenix, Rich oversaw development of a web-based consumer component to the core banking system, an intranet application marketed to the company's many global clients, and the company's own internal business systems.
